Insider information on siding
So many choices are available – vinyl siding, cedar siding, fiber cement – and we do it all. Vinyl siding is the most preferred exterior siding because it is the most economical, easy to care for and offers the added benefit of a wide range of color choices.
Vinyl siding should have an insulation board and a vapor barrier (such as Tyvek) installed first. Then the vinyl siding is installed over the insulation and Tyvek housewrap using galvanized nails, vinyl corner posts, vinyl light mount accessories, vinyl faucet hose plates and a vinyl dryer vent.
